It’s just a few days until “Firepower” begins, the epic battle between two of the most famous boxers who are well known all over the world. The awaited fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquaio from the Philippines versus Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico will be happening this Nov 14, 2009. At last, a battle that has got many curious and their minds impaled on who will be the one that would win against the other.

Just like the many people from all parts of the globe who still are stuck on thinking on who between them is better, is it the bigger and heavier Cotto or would it be the agile and driven Pacquaio? Up to this date, after all those months have passed since I’ve grasped news on their said fight, I still can’t decide on who am I going to put my bet on, not that I gamble or in any way, I mean both are just too great to be underrate.

If Manny will claim this history marking fight, he’d be winning his 7th title under 7 different weight classes. Pacman would be the first and only boxer in time that would achieve such a feat that surely would make him and all of his fans proud. Manny surely deserves an award winning trophy that would make him a living legend amongst boxers today.

A lot of people are confident that Manny will win, saying that the game ends at round 6, some say Cotto will make sure that Manny this time hits the canvass face first, a lot are saying that Manny adjusted superbly to the decided weight and even got faster, a lot are crossing their hands that Cotto never use dirty tactics to win over Manny, well who knows, all we can do is wait until Nov. 14th comes and see who’d stand out between them.

After the Harry Potter craze, here comes another saga that has really thrilled a lot of vampire and supernatural fanatics. There had been a lot of vampire movies in the past and all are really good (I suddenly remembered having a crush on vampires Lestat and Louis portrayed by Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt respectively, chuckle) but ‘The Twilight New Moon’ is getting the most popularity since its first installment ‘Twilight’, . Kristen and Robert Pattison have captured the hearts and attention of the millions.

If you liked ‘Twilight’, you will surely love this second saga of Bella and Edward; there are some twists included in this new movie and the scenes are more intense. For the past two decades, there had been several vampire movies created but can you think of a movie which made the world crazy for? When I saw the very first ‘Twilight’ installment, it has changed my concept of what vampires and immortality really is and I am sure there are a lot out there who felt the same way. So there, have a taste of the best modern vampire movie yet.

While some partd of the Central Luzon is still flooded and the eroded mountains of the Cordilleras have not been completely cleared out, here comes another typhoon which warned the public to be stronger than the twin storms which hit the Philippines earlier this month; the storm Ondoy with the international name of Ketsana ( the same storm that devastated Vietnam) and Pepeng (Parma). Lupit, with a local name of Ramil is expected to hit some parts of Luzon Thursday morning is already making the public go a little panicky. With this, people from landslide prone area had already been evacuated as a part of the government’s safety precaution. Calamities as the storm is something natural and we can’t stop it from coming but the best thing that we can do is always be prepared and do some preventive measures to avoid further damages. Here are some simple life-saving tips during the storm: when the local government has warned you to evacuate, please do especially the near coastal or landslide prone areas. Human life is more important that our valuables so save yourself and your family first before your properties. Two big plastic canisterscan be your life-saving kit. Pack few clothes in it, flash lights, spare battery, medicine, water and some food and you’re ready to vacuate your place. Don’t forget a battery operated transistor radio too to keep you updated of the movement of the storm and some other relevant news. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. These maybe simple acts but very useful when storm comes

Many people are indeed curious on why Manny Pacquiao chose to train in Baguio City instead of going to Mexico like his coach Freddie Roach had suggested. At first I personally thought that Manny was just concerned about his money because he’s just a few bouts away from calling boxing quits, when he trains here then he would be able to save more money rather than going to Mexico which sums up to millions of dollars, right?

From what I read, Manny was warned that there are a lot of cases of kidnapping happening lately in Mexico. He being a well known sportsman and wealthy that is was scared of what might happen when he’s there, and that’s what pushed him to find some place cool and perfect enough for training.

With a climate that’s cool and absolutely perfect for training, Manny surely made the right choice in picking Baguio as the place where he’d train and prepare against Miguel Cotto next month. Like a celebrity, Manny Pacquiao jogs around the public park, eats at a local restaurant and mingles with fans when he’s done with his training.

With a fraction of a mall located in Baguio City that has been set up with all his training gear, Manny trains real hard for this upcoming fight. With each day passing and with his training getting real intense, I hope that Manny would win the fight against Miguel Cotto this November.

I love you, is all that you can say, words don’t come easily…baby can I hold you tonight? Are the lines familiar? Who could forget these lines from the famous boy band Boyzone. The early nineties was the boy band era and Boyzone was one of the groups which really made a name worldwide. But last October 10, 2009, the band’s world has greatly changed with the death of one of its members, Stephen Gately or Stephen Patrick David Gately. Death came to this very talented guy while having a vacation with his partner at Majorca Spain. The amazing thing about Gately is when all the gay celebrities hid the truth about their sexuality, he courageously admitted he was one and that’s what made people love him. Not only was he a good actor and talented musician but he also has a very great heart. He had been into some charity drives More often than not a celebrity’s death seems suspicious especially when it is a sudden death. Speculations here and there but Gately’s was that of a natural death due to cardiogenic pulmonary oedema which is a genetic phenomenon. He may have left a lot of sad hearts but his voice and talent will forever be remembered.

The animation surely is top-notch, the animated characters are surely cute and super cuddly, the gadgets purely mind boggling and the story plot is surely amazing to be watched with your kids or simply by yourself! With Disney behind the project and with the actors and voices behind the film like Nicolas Cage and Penelope Cruz, you sure can expect you’re your would be paid cinema ticket would be justified and wouldn’t such be a waste.

My kids are always insisting that we watch the movie after their exams, of course as a mom; they sure would get treats from me when they do well in their exams. To think about it, I think it has been ages since Disney produced a film that’s worth watching and eye catchy. I’m sure that after we watch the film, I won’t wonder when my kids would tell me that they’d want to own a guinea pig to take care of and hopefully to also train like the ones in the movie.

So if you’re looking forward to watching a film that’s child friendly and all the while enjoyable, then you should also get to pick G-Force as the one that you’d watch with the whole family!
